The Young Horse and the Deadly Pirates
Tuberculosis is spreading fast all over the world. It is a serious disease but curable. Tuberculosis is spread through the air by cough, sneeze or spit of an infected person. Successful completion of treatment is key to control the spread of tuberculosis. The treatment of tuberculosis is becoming complex because many patients stop taking their medicines in the middle of treatment and become the source of resistant bacteria. And TB and HIV together is a serious condition. It is important that children learn how the disease spreads and how to prevent it. The Young Horse and the Deadly Pirates is for young children to learn about tuberculosis.

A Fly and a Mosquito
Diarrhoea and malaria are common in poor communities in the developing world. A Fly and a Mosquito is written for children to learn about diarrhoea and malaria and measures to prevent them. By using the story, teachers and parents can explain how poor conditions form the breeding grounds of diseases, and how flies and mosquitoes spread disease. The book can also be used as the story for a school play.

A Skinny Duck and a Healthy Cockerel
Lack of proper food intake, both in quality and quantity, leads to undernourishment and to sever malnutrition. This is common in poorer communities in the developing world, and when populations are forced to leave their homes and live in difficult circumstances, particularly in children and elderly in refugee camps. A Skinny Duck and a Healthy Cockerel is written for children to learn about food and nutrition. By using the story, teachers can explain different types of food and their functions.
